(Reuters)Swirling around Twitter: Actor Dominic Monaghan, known for his roles as Merry in “Lord of the Rings” and Charlie on “Lost,” was in town this weekend to watch his beloved Manchester United take on Barcelona. After the game, he was spotted at American Ice Company, where, at closing, witnesses tweeted, he was told to leave because “this ain’t the Prancing Pony, bro.” (For non-Tolkeinites, that’s the pub where the hobbits gather in “The Lord of the Rings.”)
