You just have to forget as much as you can about the huge picture and just concentrate on each scene as it comes along. I mean, that's what I did. I never truly tried to put it into perspective; otherwise, you'd go insane.

I try as hard as I can to, to put into perspective and to just enjoy it when it's happening, you know, because it's always, it's always fading away. You can't ever keep hold of it and. Not that I would that much anyway.

I mean, it's great fun and I enjoy the reaction that I get. But, it's fantasy, you know. It's a, it's a dream world. None of that is real.

You know, I was working as an actor before anyone knew who I was and I was getting the same thing same thing out of acting that I do now. I do it for me. I do it for my own personal artistic gratification and, you know, to be in a movie where it's well received is fantastic. But I'll always be an actor whether it be in front of 1 person or 100 people.

I think it's a story that we all know. You know, I think, in every culture, they, they know the story of an everyman hero who has to surround himself with different facets of his personality to make him as one person stronger. So, Frodo brings Aragorn for his physical strength, Gandalf for his wisdom, and Merry for his tenacity, and then he can get through this quest of destroying something which symbolizes things, ideas in the world that aren't necessarily what you should be reaching out for. So, I think in every culture it's a story that we knew from when we were little kids.
