ABC plans to release the first season of FlashForward on Region 1 (US and Canada) DVD in two parts. FlashForward: Volume 1, including the first 10 episodes (and no extras) will be released on February 23rd. No word on Blu-ray or R2 releases. Suggested price: US $29.95 / CAN $35.99.

This is the tactic that they used for Lost in the UK, where the segmented release was followed a full season re-release.

The theatrical version of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is coming to Blu-ray in a 9 disc set with several hours of special features on April 6th. Suggested price: US $99.98. For a complete list of features, see the full press release presented at TORn.

On the same date, the films will also be offered through "online retailers including iTunes, Microsoft Xbox LIVE, Zune marketplace and Amazon Video on Demand."
