For those of you not playing along on Twitter, a large collection of paparazzi photos of Dominic Monaghan and Megan Fox filming the Eminem/Rihanna video on Friday, July 23 recently hit the web and the director admitted to casting both actors.
E! Online and MTV both have there versions of the shoot, with MTV's version being the more useful.
MTV states that the photos show the two actors were on "roof of a liquor store in downtown Los Angeles" and "in addition to the scene on top of the liquor store, Fox and Monaghan also filmed inside the store and at 'a seedy dive bar next door' [according to the photographer]."
Joseph Kahn, the director, stated via Twitter that the video is finished and he expects it to premiere this week.
Edit: E! Online has produced a video recap with a bit of old footage of Dom from the last two or so years. No video from the Eminem shoot, just the photos.
E! Online has just posted an article with some Dominic Monaghan news (from an anonymous source):
Later this week in Los Angeles, Dom will be shooting the video for the "Love the Way You Lie," the Eminem track featuring Rihanna. His co-star will be Megan Fox. E! says the video will feature "some rather steamy sequences" between the two and quotes the anonymous source as saying, "It gets really intense."
The video will be directed by Joseph Kahn.
Read the original (with more information on the director and Megan Fox) here. (It's also in our archive.)
Edit:EW.com reports: "Monaghan’s rep confirms to EW that he’s been cast in the video."
Edit 2:JustJared reports: "FYI: Megan Fox will not be in the video but it’s still rumored that Lost star Dominic Monaghan will be featured in it."
Edit 3 1/2:E! Online reports: "Things start off with a sex scene between Megan and Dominic," a source said. "Then they fight but end up having sex again." The source described the look and feel of the video as "gritty" with "lots of passion."
For those of you who love Dominic Monaghan because of his portrayal of Charlie Pace on Lost, here's some material for you. Beware the rampant merchandising.
First, the latest Lost Magazine Yearbook has two photos from the first episode of Season 6, "LA X." The first is on page 43 and you can see a larger version in the Lost-Media Gallery. The second, on page 46, is from the same scene but is unique. Here are scans of both pages. (If you read by feed, you may need to visit the site.)
For $165, the ABC TV store is selling made-to-order sterling silver copies of Charlie's DriveShaft ring in a variety of sizes. Take a peek. (There are lots more Lost and even some interesting FlashForward merchandise. Use the "shows" tab.)
There is also the chance to bid on the actual DriveShaft ring worn by Dom, as well as Charlie's guitar and other Lost props, and including items not yet announced. The date has been set for August 21-22nd in Los Angeles. Final items with open bid prices will be published in an auction catalog. (Location has yet to be announced; however, this website reports that the auction will be held in Santa Monica's Barker Hanger and bids may be placed via web, fax and mail, as well as in person.)
Dom has just completed his very short appearance on GeekWeek. Here's a photo (click for the full version) from before the broadcast:
The big news is that Dom will be doing a pre-taped video appearance for GeekWeek, which he filmed today.
Dom apparently has a new tattoo on his right forearm. Take a look at this screencap:
This is a down and dirty version missing just the start of broadcast, about 20-40 seconds. I'll capture another version, if I can, later and replace this. I'll just edit this post and create an entry in the article archive when I know what the final version will be.
Edit: Video with the complete interview is now up! So is an article in the article archive.
If you're reading from a feed, you may need to go to the original post to play the video.
