Director Michael Wechsler announced on a September 2nd Tweet, approximately two months before the November 29th start of filming, that Dom will not be appearing in this film. Dom's name is not on the official website and no mention of Dominic leaving the project has been made on the Facebook page. Edit: There is now a Facebook announcement, too.

In early June, Wechsler mentioned that Dom was still playing Tommy. Dom announced at the Nerd HQ panel that he had sold a nature show to the BBC and it would film in late 2011.
